MARINE FIRE RISK REMOVAL

Galley Cleaning

Grease-covered Galley’s extraction systems aboard marine vessels not only create a perfect environment for bacterial growth but also increase fire hazards. Industry standards for health and safety require regular cleaning of the systems.

Our technicians access all areas of the ducting by installing access hatches where required. We then reach and clean all areas of the ducting. After applying our specialised foam degreaser, we remove the grease buildup through a combination of scraping, scrubbing, brushing, and steam cleaning.

Marine Vessel Laundry Extraction Cleaning

Another potential flashpoint for fires is the vessel’s laundry. The complete removal of lint buildup is essential to ensuring a safe laundry area.

Laundry extractor systems, clogged with dust and lint, hinder the efficient extraction of hot air from tumble dryers, leading to overheating and fire risk.

Once disconnected from the tumble dryers, our technicians access the entire ducting, cleaning it up to the extractor’s exit. A portable auxiliary extractor is installed at the duct’s exit to remove any remaining dirt. Upon completion of the work, a certificate certifying the successful removal of fire hazards, along with a comprehensive photographic report, is provided.
